Purple Spine Succulent

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 47 feet (14.3 meters) tall. The narrow stem is orange-yellow and hazel, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid vivid green spines. The serrated-edged, 6 pointed leaves are azure and purple. Handfuls of them grow from the base in a spiral pattern. The leaves are durable, and do not detach easily.

It is quick growing, taking 3 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid purple petals and a bronze central disk, grow at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is made up of 12 petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like rotting meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the blood red flesh is smooth, and the caramel sap is thin.
