Ember Moss

This slate and orange moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps On rotten logs, In rainforests, and On trees.
It is big, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is slightly strong.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
