Vineberry
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 6 meters (19.7 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 562 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a knobbly, slanted trunk covered in fine, smooth, burgundy bark, and inside, the soft wood is pine-coloured.
The abundance of branches are short and thick and are covered with large amounts of clammy, tiny, shield-shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are blood red and purple.
In late summer it forms small, cream berries.
The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
