Emeraldvine

This huge, emerald grass grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall. The spear shaped stalks grow in small clumps that are rigid and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, black tuft.

During the early summer, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of medium-sized grains.
