Indigo Creeper

This large creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 400 feet (121.9 meters) and growing as high as 133 feet (40.5 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 3 years for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 6 inches (15 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The wispy, leathery leaves reach up to 9 inches (23 cm) in length. They are found in olive and indigo varieties, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces a handful of giant slate flowers.
