Spineleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 31 feet (9.4 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is bright blue, and is covered in handfuls of rigid orange spines. The jagged-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are copper on the edges and dark brown at the center. Very large amounts of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are light, and do not detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 25 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with peach petals that gradient shift to brown on the outer edge. The central disk is aquamarine grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is largely flat with 13 tightly layered round-tipped petals. It has an intense scent that smells like new carpet.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the olive flesh is rubbery, and the muted purple sap is thin.
