Clinging Tallgrass
Grass type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This huge, brown grass grows up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall. The finger-like stalks grow in extensive patches that are flimsy.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, slate flower.
During the mid-summer, it produces very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few medium-sized grains.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
