Clinging Copperpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in waxy, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the hard wood is burgundy.

The branches are short and thin, with dozens of twigs covered with copious amounts of small, peach needles. The needles themselves are fairly frail.

In late summer it produces small, light brown seed pods.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
