Silver

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 25 feet (7.6 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is grey, and is dotted with small white spines. The round body is green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible silver spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are generally gold; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 7 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like faeces.

The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the vibrant orange flesh is slimy, and the blue sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.

It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
