Burgundy Glow

Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of wide, wonky stems covered in thin, ridged, burgundy bark, and the wood inside is white.

The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, fan-like, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are found in gentle blue and purple varieties, resistant and clammy.

It produces hundreds of small, orange flowers with needle-like petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a mildly strong scent that smells like damp. In late winter it forms medium-sizedbrown, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

It releases hallucinogenic smoke when burned.
It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
