Spikegrass

This short, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The cylindrical stalks grow in small clumps that are flexible and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, white spikelet.

During the late summer, it produces an average amount of pollen; it can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of large grains.
