During late spring, the bine produces several large pink flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of very large fruits.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
The grains are bitter, but very healthy and can be used to make numerous baked goods.
It usually houses a colony of beneficial insects.
