Emerald Marsh Moss

This emerald moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In marshes.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely frail; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald oblong capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores.
