Silver Spine Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This small cactus grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is silver, and is covered in sharp spines. The round body is green, and is dotted with small dark grey spines.
It is steady-growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with red petals and a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 50 petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like roses.
The cactus's skin is extremely thick, the cyan flesh is soft, and the lime sap is thin.
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
