Goldenhallucinogen

Flower type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This small flower grows up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is very thick, and the giant, yellow leaves are sickle shaped with toothed edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

5 to 7 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with solid caramel petals and a gold central disk. The flower head is made up of 55 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. They are sturdy.

It has a mildly strong scent that smells like cheap aftershave, and it has lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
