Rockvine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This giant vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 1,451 feet (442.3 meters) and growing as high as 601 feet (183.2 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.
It takes 11 years for the green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 2.3 feet (71 cm) and are smooth and woody.
The thick, rough leaves reach up to 2.0 feet (61 cm) in length. They are dark brown with violet tips, and have smooth edges.
During late spring, the vine produces lots of tiny green flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a handful of small fruits.
It comes in 13 varieties.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The bark, wood and leaves are edible.
