Turquoise Moss

This turquoise moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In damp forests.
It is big, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is slightly resilient.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
