Brownheart Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In damp forests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is very tough.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
