Crimsonfern

This red moss is commonly found growing in giant clumps In bogs, and In rainforests.
It is giant, growing up to 1.3 feet (38 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very strong.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
