Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized, orange grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in small clumps that are durable and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, aquamarine flower.
During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of medium-sized grains.
The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
