Indigo

This huge caudiciform grows up to 108 feet (32.9 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is gray, and is covered in hundreds of rigid vivid yellow spines. It has a angular, wide, florescent green trunk atop a flat ball of silky, exposed roots. The branches are thick and burgundy and are short, rigid and upright.

The toothed-edged, broad, flat leaves are brown and indigo. They are delicate, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are cream on the edges and turquoise at the center grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a dish made up of 15 raised, narrow petals. It has a soft scent that smells like candle wax.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the peach flesh is slimy, and the slate sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
