Sunset Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 43 feet (13.1 meters) tall. The very thin stem is moss green, and is covered in many flexible light grey spines. The smooth-edged, thick leaves are either subtle yellow, or orange with purple edges. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a spiral pattern. The leaves are strong, and take some effort to detach.

It is quick growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with aquamarine petals that gradient shift to green on the outer edge. The central disk is crimson grows at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 27 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a delicate scent that smells like lemon.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the pastel purple flesh is sticky, and the subtle yellow sap is thin.


Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
