Silverleaf Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 91 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, crooked trunk covered in thin, knobbly, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is silver.
The tangled mess of branches are short stubs and are covered with large amounts of clammy, large, wide leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are generally slate.
In late summer it forms tiny, olive, shelled seeds.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
