Lime Moss

This yellow-green moss is commonly found growing in small clumps On rotten logs, In marshes, and On trees.
It is big, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches are exceptionally hardy, and is very robust.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release dozens of spores.
