Brown Flame Moss

This brown moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainforests.
It is large, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they are slow to spread and grow, and is very durable; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release thousands of spores.
