Greyleaf

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 104 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several branched, crooked stems covered in delicate, waxy, brown bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches trail down to the ground with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of huge, very thick, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are green on the edges and light grey at the center, frail and clammy.

In late spring it produces a thick sheet of medium-sized, white blossoms with pleated petals. They are very delicate and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like glue.

In early autumn needle-like fruits ripen. The leathery pink skin is peel-able and sweet and bitter, and the very soft magenta flesh is salty and sticky. The red seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.
