Crimsonvine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 11 inches (28 cm) tall. Its red stem is thin and straight, and the large, emerald leaves are sickle shaped with jagged edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Dozens of tiny flowers grow in bunches along the stem. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with hazel petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. They detach easily.

It has an intense scent that smells like vomit, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
