Bloodfire Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This enormous cactus grows up to 139 feet (42.4 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 5 wide stems. Each stem is brown, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid beige spines. The tear-shaped body is green and yellow, and is covered in large amounts of flexible blood red spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are generally bronze; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is made up of 41 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has a strong scent that smells like fermented fruit.

The cactus's skin is thin, the blood red flesh is smooth, and the brown sap is thin.

The stems are covered in large spikes.

The leaves are overwhelmingly toxic, and very sour.
