Aquamarine Spikeflower

This colossal flower grows up to 9.9 feet (3.0 meters) tall. Its moss green stem is thick and splits into many branching stems at the base, and the huge, silver leaves are grey on the underside and are asymmetrical with ripped edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Two small flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 137 cm (53.9 inches) wide, with green petals that gradient shift to aquamarine on the outer edge. The central disk is lime. The flower head is made up of 41 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. They fall easily.

It has the faintest scent that smells like cheese, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
