Grass type: Annual (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This short, slate and yellow-green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in thin clumps that are rigid.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, brown puff.
During the early winter, it produces copious amounts of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
