Indigo Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This large vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 325 feet (99.1 meters) and growing as high as 126 feet (38.4 meters).

It takes 11 months for the slate or green stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1.6 feet (48 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The thin, soft leaves reach up to 1.8 feet (56 cm) in length. They are indigo on the edges and black at the center, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces handfuls of average peach flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces plenty of small seed pods.

The entire flower is edible and slightly sour.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
