Mahogany
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This colossal shrub grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 124 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has many wide, straight stems covered in thin, waxy, light brown bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.
The branches are very long and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of large, long, narrow, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are olive on the sides and orange at the center, flexible and rough.
It produces many giant, white flowers with crescent-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like wet dog. In late spring it forms medium-sizedcyan berries.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
