Crimsongrass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big, dark grey grass grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The very thin stalks grow in sparse patches that are strong and tough and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, red tuft.

During the early winter, it produces lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
The sap causes severe rashes
