Clinging Azure Tree

This short tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 51 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in ridged, light gray bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.

The tangled mess of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of crispy, miniature, thick leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure with magenta splotches.

In late summer it forms small, gentle red seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
