It has several thick, crooked stems covered in fine, ridged, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is silver.
The branches trail down towards the ground that and are covered with small amounts of giant, 6 pointed, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are solid azure with magenta splotches, hardy and crispy.
It produces thick bunches of small, black flowers with shield-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have the faintest scent that smells like rainy days. In late spring it forms medium-sizedbrown aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
