Silver Thorn Succulent

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This massive caudiciform grows up to 122 feet (37.2 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is emerald, and is covered in handfuls of fine, black, hair-like spines. It has a twisting, thick, silver trunk atop a narrow web of rough, exposed roots. The branches are slender and silver and are very long and thick.

The rounded-edged, very thin leaves are either peach, or gold with cream edges. They are strong, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 44 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with blue petals on the lower layer and blue petals decorated with copper dots on the inner layer. The central disk is pastel purple grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 23 petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like rotten egg.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the olive flesh is soft, and the amber sap is thin.
