Aquamarine

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 46 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, crooked trunk covered in cracked, dark brown bark, and inside, the very dense wood is white with black speckles.

The sparse amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with very large amounts of miniature, flame-shaped leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of silver that gradient shifts to violet at the top.

In early spring, it produces lots of tiny, silver blossoms with circular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have the faintest scent that smells like cheese.

In early autumn it produces , finger-like fruit. The fuzzy aquamarine skin is stretchy and edible when boiled; it is spicy, and the soft brown flesh is extremely sweet and very juicy. The dark grey seed is small and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
