Cyan Fruit Tree
Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 52 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a knobbly, angular trunk covered in ridged, brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is gray.
The branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with small amounts of tiny, wispy leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in amber, bold orange and pink varieties.
In early spring, it produces copious amounts of tiny, olive blossoms with fan-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotting meat.
In late summer it produces tiny, wide fruit. The fuzzy dark grey skin is peel-able and inedible, and the very soft cyan flesh is sour and juicy. The lime seed is small and is in the centre of the fruit.
The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It can survive a long time without water.
Several parts of the fruit tree have medicinal properties.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
