Orange Spine Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This big cactus grows up to 95 feet (29.0 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is brown, and is covered in hundreds of flexible orange spines. The spherical body is orange, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is fast growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of slate, grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is made up of 11 petals in raised layers. It has a faint scent that smells like fish.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the beige flesh is leathery, and the silver sap is thin.
