Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall. The narrow stem is black or amber, and is covered in dozens of rigid crimson spines. The mushroom-shaped body is silver, and is covered in dozens of rigid crimson spines.

It is slow growing, taking 15 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are amber in the center, lime in the middle and purple at the edges grows at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 49 curved petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

The cactus's skin is thin, the olive flesh is rubbery, and the beige sap is thin.

All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
