Golden Spine

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 155 feet (47.2 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is gentle yellow, and is covered in brittle grey spines. The pointed leaves are azure and beige. Very large amounts of them grow on stocky, orange-yellow branches that are very long and thick. The leaves are durable, but take little effort to detach.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are dark grey on the underside and gold on the top, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of several tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like meat.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the blood red flesh is rubbery, and the caramel sap is thin.
