Bronze

This huge caudiciform grows up to 131 feet (39.9 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is yellow-green, and is covered in handfuls of fine, silver, hair-like spines. The bulbous, bronze trunk can grow to as much as 131 feet (39.9 meters) in diameter. Its yellow-green branches trail down across the ground.

The ripped-edged, circular leaves are either violet, or blood red with pale yellow edges. They are flimsy, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 21 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with pale yellow petals and a hazel central disk grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is shaped like a star with 54 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like pineapple.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the red flesh is smooth, and the cream sap is thin.
