Blueleaf Creeper

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This giant shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for around 35 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of slender, twisting stems covered in paper-thin, ridged, light gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are long and thick with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of small, pleated, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are faded yellow on the edges and sky blue at the center, light and crispy.

In late spring it produces handfuls of large, yellow blossoms with fan-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a fairly strong scent that smells like fermented fruit.

In late autumn very large cuboid fruits ripen. The clammy brown skin is delicate and sweet and salty, and the very soft magenta flesh is bitter and oily. The slate seed is tiny and is in the centre of the fruit.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It comes in 27 varieties.
