Citrine Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs.
It is large, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly sturdy.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.
