Crimson Fanvine

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 55 years. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many stocky, wavy stems covered in ridged, dark gray bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of tiny, asymmetrical, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally dull red, flimsy and fuzzy.

In late spring it produces lots of small, azure blossoms with long, narrow petals. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like vomit.

In mid-autumn tiny fan-like fruits ripen. The clammy hazel skin is stretchy and edible when boiled; it is sweet, and the soft blue flesh is spicy and powdery. The olive seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.

Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
