Golden Winding Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This average-sized tree grows up to 21 meters (68.9 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 139 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in knobbly, light gray bark, and inside, the soft wood is black.

The abundance of branches are tall, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of smooth, huge, spear shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either green or gold, with brilliant green dots.

In late summer it forms large, beige, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with clear space between them.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
