Lilac Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is brown, and is dotted with small silver spines. The serrated-edged, wide leaves are yellow-green with green tips. Large amounts of them grow from the base in a spiral pattern. The leaves are light, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with each petal a slightly different shade of gentle green, grow at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 50 curved petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like blood.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the blue flesh is rough, and the lilac sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
