Lilacgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized, gray and yellow-green grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The very narrow and elongated stalks grow in extensive patches that are resilient.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, lilac puff.

During the early autumn, it produces lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a few large grains.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
