Goldenleaf Succulent

This modest-sized leaf succulent grows up to 17 feet (5.2 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is yellow-green, and is dotted with small lime spines. The tattered-edged, thick leaves are found in gold, copper and florescent green varieties. Sparse amounts of them grow from the base in alternating pairs. The leaves are fairly frail, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with cyan petals that gradient shift to washed-out orange on the outer edge. The central disk is dark brown grows at the top, reappearing once every 6 years. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like rotten eggs.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the gentle blue flesh is soft, and the crimson sap is thin.
