Crimsonbell

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 39 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many stocky, curved stems covered in waxy, brown-green speckled bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are very short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, wispy, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to dark grey at the top, light and frail and soft.

In mid-spring it produces dozens of large, crimson flowers with pleated petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like rotten eggs.
